In the past year and a half, THREAT SIGNAL have written and recorded a slew of intense metal songs that have skyrocketed up internet metal charts, ignited an international fan base, and earned the attention of worldwide renowned metal label Nuclear Blast Records. Their hard work and determination to break through musical barriers can be credited for their achievements.
Out of Hamilton, ON CANADA,THREAT SIGNAL arose when cousins Jon and Rich Howard recruited local shredder Kyle McKnight in late 2003 and began to record demo material. Former guitar teacher Marco Bressette joined THREAT SIGNAL on bass in August 2005, and George Parfitt was the final member to complete the band in January 2006.
In April 2004, THREAT SIGNAL posted their first demo Rational Eyes on an international metal chart at www.garageband.com. After a few weeks the song raced up the charts to reach number 1, surpassing over 8000 entries, and have received many awards including best guitars, best drums, best male vocals, best production, song of the week, song of the day, and countless more.
With the success of Rational Eyes, the band was contacted by various record labels that were extremely interested in their music. This prompted THREAT SIGNAL to release three more songs onto www.garageband.com: One Last Breath, Inane, and A New Beginning. To this day, the songs are still climbing the charts and remain at 5 out of 5 stars.
In September 2005 THREAT SIGNAL flew to Los Angeles to record their debut album Under Reprisal with producer Christian Olde Wolbers of the band FEAR FACTORY. An online journal of the recording process from Sept. 18th through Oct. 20th can be viewed here: www.threatsignal.com/Journal.html
THREAT SIGNALs music can be described as low-end, syncopated thrash, with melody intertwined. The band combines the complexity of old school and European thrash music with de-tuned, technical syncopation, as well as melodic singing and musical passages. THREAT SIGNAL takes influences from highly established bands such as SOILWORK, FEAR FACTORY, PANTERA, MESHUGGAH, and DEVIN TOWNSEND.

unfortunately Threat Signal will NOT be touring this summer due to personal reasons. We apologize to our friends and fans, and we promise to make it up to you. Bloodjinn and Year Of Desolation will continue the tour, so please support those crazy bastards!! On a more positive note, we will be working on a second album and hope to hit the studio in the fall.
